Olivia's Birthday

May 5 Olivia turned 4! I can't believe I now have a 4 year old. She is a big girl now...so she says! She was so excited, and she loved getting calls all day from family wishing her a happy birthday! My mom and little sister came over to spend the day, bringing gifts and a cupcake for Olivia. Saturday we had Olivia's party. It turned out great, she had tons of friends to swim with, and received so many gifs. She got a whole new summer wardrobe, 2 new pairs of sandals and a TON of toys! Thanks to everyone who came to the party and help celebrate her special day!

Easter

Happy Easter! Hope everybody had a great Easter, I know we did! Chad, Olivia and I headed out to my parents Sunday for some amazing food and wonderful company. I love going to my parents, especially when Becky and her boyfriend Kiel are there. Olivia had a blast, she loved hunting eggs, everytime she found one she yelled "I found another one!" It was a really great Easter, and my mama even got me a little Easter gift. (I will post pictures later, it won't let me upload them right now)

Olivia's Room

On Tuesday and Wednesday my mom and Shelly came over to paint Olivia's room. They bought the paint and painted the room; does it get any better than that?!! They also brought Olivia a new bedding set. It is so pretty and matches the color of her room perfectly. The paint

color is called "crisp lettuce" it is a very pretty spring green. Olivia loves her room and we are so thankful to Ming and Uncle Shelly (that's what Olivia calls my mom and sister)

R.I.P. Pearl

On Monday February 28th Pearl the pony died. Sunday she fell ill, Olivia went to get her from the pasture and she was stumbling and falling over. She just stood with her head almost touching the ground and breathing very hard and shaking. We think she had cushings disease and pnuemonia. She was very loved and will be sorely missed. Olivia had a hard time understanding, she kept asking "What if I go walk her around and feed her, then she'll be ok?" and "She's not buried yet mom so let's go pet her." Sunday Bonnie our dog went missing, so poor Olivia had two of her beloved animals gone. Thankfully I found Bonnie at the animal shelter and she is now home and enjoying all of Olivia's attention and affection. Olivia is definitely learning first hand what it is to be a pet owner. Monday Chad went and bought her 4 baby chicks to take her mind off things. Tuesday morning one was dead. Olivia was sad but got over it pretty quickly.
In addition to the losses we have suffered this week we also have gained 2 horses and the baby chicks, obviously.Chad's new horse) is a 5 year old quarter horse, line back dun. He is a stud and the most docile laid back horse I've ever seen.
My horse is a 7 year old red dun, with a flaxen mane and tail. He is an awesome mover and I can't wait to start him on barrels. (

New year

Happy new year! Last year just flew by! We had a great Christmas, Olivia especially! Now we are 10 days into this new year and we have a new addition to the family. Saturday night we bought Olivia a pony! She is the shaggiest pony I have ever seen, but so sweet! She used to do birthday parties and petting zoos, so she is very tolerant!

Olivia has been calling her "Bonita" and "Pearl", she just can't decide which name she likes better ( I like Pearl). Olivia was so excited, after we bought Pearl, I took Olivia shopping at the tack store. She picked out a bucket and grooming supplies. I have never seen my baby so excited, it was a great time. Pearl is underweight, I think they worked her too much and did not feed enough, but now she is happy as a clam in the pasture at her new home. She never lifts her head from the grass! We are all so happy to have her here. I just wish it was warmer out so we could spend more time with her.
This week the farrier will be out to trim her hooves, as they are grossly long. She will also be getting a make-over this week. She is a little scraggly looking now, but not for long!
