My little Model?

Today was an eventful day for little O and I. First we started off with a play date at Brooke's house. She has the most kid friendly backyard, it is literally like going to the playground! Olivia was able to play with Colter and Emerson (and Misty & Brooke too!) She had a blast! Then it was home to bathe and get dressed to go to Kimmie's for Olivia's model photo shoot!
Kimmie took over 600 pics today of Olivia! Now, O is a bon-a-fide D-I-V-A! She was so good for the photos and really enjoyed it! Not only did she have play date and a photo shoot, Mommy's best friend Reena stopped by for a visit, and had her little boy Andrew with her. Olivia got to play with Andrew, with whom she adores! He played so well with her, he is 5 and she is 2 but he is sooooo good with her! So all in all it was a big eventful day for O and I.

Olivia's birthday and then some!

I have not been a diligent little blogger here lately. I hope to rectify this right now and KEEP up with my blogging! So first things first; on May 2 we had Olivia's 2ND birthday party at the house. The party was Blues Clues themed and turned out to be a huge success. She received so many gifts and had a blast with all of her little friends, I was so happy with the turnout. I can not believe she is 2 though! It has really flown by. She develops so much everyday, sometimes I wish I could push the "pause" or "rewind" button to slow her down a little bit. Her vocabulary has probably been the biggest change. She speaks so well...and SO MUCH! She is quite the motormouth. But it's OK Chad and I love to listen to her ramble on and on, for the most part we can understand but sometimes she gets too excited and we can not understand one thing! It is really cute though because she will get so into whatever she is talking about, she is quite animated! Also, she has taken to calling us Chad and Christy opposed to mommy and Dada, which sometimes is funny but sometimes annoying! She does it to me more than to Chad, I don't know why.
Mothers Day was nice and lazy. Chad got me a rustic ice chest, which I think was more for him than me but I like it. Today Olivia and I went to my parents to take my mom her mothers day gift. Surprise surprise they had a gift waiting for me which was really sweet. They also had 3 outfits for Olivia because they like to spoil her! But that is what grandparents are for, and I can't get too mad at them since she is their first grand baby, and more than likely the only one for quite a while! Today Papaw took her out on the tractor for a ride and she got to play with the turtles and horses and Scout. It was a really fun day. We will be getting to see Papaw alot more this week because he is on vacation and going to come fix a leak in the wall! I don't hardly ever get to see my dad anymore so I am really really looking forward to him coming over - even if I am putting him to work!

Olivia and the June bug

I know I haven't blogged in a while but I had just had to tell all about how funny Olivia acted early when she saw a junebug. Now outside she is fine and dirty and not scared of anything. I guess when bugs come in the house though she does not like it! I was putting groceries away and I heard a high pitched squeal, something like a little girl would do, not my rowdy rough Olivia! I come into the living room and she is standing by the t.v. to scared to try to get away because a junebug was walking across the floor, not even close to her. It was so funny, she wouldn't move and pointed at it the whole time until I got it outside. The rest of the night she kept pointing to the floor and saying eww and then she would squeal! LOL she is too funny. Daddy is in Jacksonvile at mud nationals, which I wanted to go to but couldn't get a sitter, and it is just me and O again on the weekend. Tomorrow if the weather is nice I am going to take her to do her pictures in blue bonnets. Also, I want to dye some easter eggs I think she will get a kick out of that. I will post her blue bonnet pics tomorrow hopefully.
