Olivia and the June bug

I know I haven't blogged in a while but I had just had to tell all about how funny Olivia acted early when she saw a junebug. Now outside she is fine and dirty and not scared of anything. I guess when bugs come in the house though she does not like it! I was putting groceries away and I heard a high pitched squeal, something like a little girl would do, not my rowdy rough Olivia! I come into the living room and she is standing by the t.v. to scared to try to get away because a junebug was walking across the floor, not even close to her. It was so funny, she wouldn't move and pointed at it the whole time until I got it outside. The rest of the night she kept pointing to the floor and saying eww and then she would squeal! LOL she is too funny. Daddy is in Jacksonvile at mud nationals, which I wanted to go to but couldn't get a sitter, and it is just me and O again on the weekend. Tomorrow if the weather is nice I am going to take her to do her pictures in blue bonnets. Also, I want to dye some easter eggs I think she will get a kick out of that. I will post her blue bonnet pics tomorrow hopefully.

Past few weeks

The past few weeks the Hewitts have kept very busy! It has just been one thing after another which is why I have not blogged in ages! Last Monday we took Olivia and my sister Shelly to the Houston Livstock Show and Rodeo. Olivia had a great time looking at the animals and playing with them in the petting zoo! She wore herself out after only a little over an hour and fell asleep. She loves animals so much and was making the noise for each animal, it was so cute! She loves her aunt Shelly too! She was so excited to spend the day with her.

Yesterday my Grandma,Aunt Tammy, cousins Joushua and Erica came to Plantersville to visit. I was going to go out there to see them but the day before my plumbing backed up and I had to wait all day for the plumber. Thankfully they came to see me and Olivia! It was so good to see them, I wish I could see them more! I think everyone got a kick out of little miss priss, she of course had to show off when they arrived. Ming(what O calls my mom) brought O a new coloring book. Coloring is now Olivia's new favorite hobby. She has to take her crayons EVERWHERE!!

Growing up!

February has brought on a couple of changes, I turned 23 on the 11th,I received an awesome saddle from my wonderful husband just for turning 23! Chad bought a Kubota RTV and flatbed trailer, but the big one is..... Olivia is now in a BIG GIRL BED! I took the crib down on 2/16/08 and now there is no going back. I can not believe it. She has been able to climb out of her crib for a couple of weeks now and I finally decided I had to retire her crib. Not only was it her crib, it belonged to her daddy when he was a baby, along with his brother and sister. Now once again it is retired. Since figuring out she could crawl out of her crib sleep has been a fond, yet distant memory of mine. I thought she would do better in her big girl bed, but no such luck. She is not doing any worse though either which is good! The next big step on the horizon is potty training. She tells me (for the most part) when she or needs to pee, removes her diaper and will get another one. She also know what toilet paper is for and she loves flushing it down the potty. I figure in 2 weeks after the newness from the bed has worn off we will begin the journey of potty training. It is going by too fast!
